In this house, we transformed the kitchen from dark and gloomy to bright and airy. The existing cabinetry was painted a combo of white on perimeter cabinets and a pale blue on the island. The island was extended to create a dining area, new backsplash, quartz countertops, cabinet hardware and light fixtures completely transformed the space. A bench was added to create another space for the family to sit and gather. In the formal living room and entry, wood paneling was added above the fireplace and on the entry walls. Custom stained beams were added to the ceiling along with new ceiling light fixtures. The fireplace mantle was painted and new tile and a custom, built in fireplace screen were installed.
